Almost 100 tenants took part in the information day held at Llainfairfechan Town Hall.  Agencies from throughout North Wales attended, providing information and advice on housing and related matters, aimed specifically at elderly residents.

Highlight of the event came via entertainer Fiona Harrison, a singer and entertainer whose performance focuses on a 40’s theme including songs and performances from that era.

The organisations Chief Executive Paul Diggory kicked off the day with a welcome introduction followed by a presentation from Richard Snaith, North Wales Housing’s Sustainability Co-ordinator.  He shared a series of energy and cost saving initiatives with the crowd, including ideas to reduce bills and keep warm during the winter months.

A raffle, lunch and refreshments marked the middle of the day with further entertainment throughout the afternoon.

Amie Cavanagh, Tenant Engagement Coordinator at North Wales Housing said: “This was a really brilliant day that turned out to be a huge success. Everyone has said how much they’ve enjoyed the event and are already looking forward to a follow up next year!

“The 40’s theme has been lots of fun – we’re keen to develop days and initiatives that our tenants are going to enjoy and that they can relate to and engage with whilst delivering important and useful information”
