Hankinson Painting Group, one of the largest independent painting and property services companies in the UK, has relocated its head office to Cotton Place, a large detached commercial building in the heart of Wirral.

Property consultants, Smith and Sons, have worked alongside Hankinson’s to secure the lease on behalf of client Merseyside Estates. The decision by Hankinson to relocate from their former premises in Monks Quay, Birkenhead, marks a fantastic development for the borough, reaffirming Wirral as an ideal location for business, industry and commerce.

The move has been driven by continued growth across the business and in particular, the acquisition of Whittle Programmed Painting earlier this year.

Whittle was the first Company in the UK to offer long term painting maintenance agreements with structured payments, to support the ongoing presentation and management of a property. A well recognised concept overseas, the product is now being embraced by a UK audience and the company has over 500 long term agreements under the Whittle brand. Typical customers include schools, shopping centres, hotels, offices and care homes.

Cotton Place is set over two floors and comprises a total floor area of 8386 sq ft with 30 on-site car parking spaces and has views across the waterfront. A modern office development constructed to a high standard the building offers a flexible layout and benefits from double glazing, perimeter trunking, category 2 lighting and comfort cooling.

As part of the relocation programme, Smith and Sons have disposed of Premises at Portside and Alexander House at Monks Ferry on Hankinsons behalf.
