The Gallery (restaurant and bar) in Formby is celebrating a re-launch, with new owners, a new menu, more opening hours, and a planned fit out and re-vamp.
The venue, set in the heart of Formby Village will offer a new local meet, dine and drink experience, designed to appeal to an open audience. Bar and dining experts, Dave Roche and Alex Hannah, part of the original teams behind the Alma de Cuba and Living Venture brands, are driving the changes forward through ongoing consultancy and aim to bring the very best elements of Liverpool dining and drinking to the Village. With doors open from 8.30, coffee lovers can wake up with award winning coffee from Has Bean Coffee and nibble on pastries and cakes supplied by Emma's Bakery, located in the Cloisters. The Gallery will remain open until late on weekdays and weekends, offering changing seasonal lunch and dinner menus throughout the day.
With an over riding emphasis on quality, the Gallery is already taking deliveries from local butchers, farms and bakers, sourcing produce locally where possible to create a mix of classic and modern recipes.
Andy Stoddart, General Manager of the Gallery said: "We're all part of a new team here and are incredibly excited about the change in direction the Gallery is now taking. Whilst this venue has had a very steady customer base over the years, we want to make sure that we retain their custom but open the door to a much wider audience of people who live in and visit the area.
"We are aiming to take the very best of what Formby and the surrounding area can offer and capture it here in the Gallery. Our commitment to open early and stay open throughout the day until late, will be met with a consistent quality of food, service and delivery and the entire team are very much sold on this ethos.
He added: "This is Stage One of our plans for here and we look forward to making more exciting announcements later this year and into 2012."
