Leading property consultants, Smith and Sons, has let two units at Bolton Technology Exchange to a local businesswoman behind the new Queensbrook Nursery venture.

Kathryn Illingworth has secured a 20-year lease on the units with a combined floor space of 2,500 sq ft, bringing the two together and transforming them into a mixed use area for children under five. The units have since undergone a major re-vamp and fit out, creating a vibrant environment for youngsters and parents.

Mrs Illingworth was keen to capitalise on the central location of the Business Centre and believes that the nursery will attract parents who work nearby and who pass through to and from their place of work. She said: “The Technology Centre is an ideal location for a nursery and with nearby transport links and lots of parking, it’s extremely accessible for parents. Internally, there is tonnes of space and we’ve been able to create a series of separate areas for play, learning and relax time which has been fantastic.

"We’ve already secured a lot of spaces in a relatively short space of time and are dealing with new enquiries every day.”

Jason Wadeson of Smith and Sons added: “There are quite a broad range of businesses here at Bolton Technology Exchange and the arrival of the nursery, demonstrates just how flexible this accommodation can be.”

There are currently units available at Bolton technology Exchange in a range of sizes that can be adapted or extended to suit the needs of each business or organisation.
