Leading auction house, Smith and Sons, is set to launch, 'A beginners guide to auctions', a short film that takes potential first time property auction buyers and sellers through the entire process.

Produced in association with Outloud PR podcast begins with a typical home that is suitable for auction, explaining how sellers can recognise if their property is suitable for auction and what the next steps to take are, how a property is valued, realising expectations etc. This is followed by a day at the auction, detailing how to bid, what is needed on the day and how to complete a sale.
Following one property though the auction process, viewers can see exactly how a property is managed during the lead up to auction, the day itself and following.
Chris Johnson, auctioneer at Smith and Sons said: "There is still a certain amount of mystery surrounding the auction process. People from both a buying and selling perspective are unsure what to expect and so we felt that it would be helpful to sum up the entire process in a short film and uncover some of the mystic.
"Hopefully this will also raise interest and signpost people towards considering auction for both residential and commercial property needs. As confidence I slowly returning to the property industry, there is still a definite lack of funding and lending by banks so we are seeing a definite increase with certain customer groups including first time buyers."
